Last Sunday Constant Comment scooped up a maiden prize, and landed us a good gamble at 14-1. We’ve got tips from all around Europe for a bumper day’s racing.
2:15 Kelso – Champagne City NAP (4/6)
A very nice prospect for Tom George, who should now step up from finishing fourth on his hurdles debut. He enjoyed good flat form, including a second in listed race when with Mark Johnston. He should improve from the first outing, and make a trip up to Scotland worthwhile.
3:05 Uttoxeter – One For Billy (7/2)
The Skelton’s team up with One For Billy who finally got his head in front at Hexham earlier this month. He should improve from that effort and this well-bred hurdler could be one to follow throughout the season.
3:25 Chantilly – Zarak (11/8)
He’s ridden some top races so far this season and in what doesn’t look the most competitive Group Ones. A Group Three winner in Dubai earlier in the season, he was only denied prizes at the top level by the fantastic Almanzor. After only half-a-length behind Ribchester in the Dubai Turf, he ran excellently in the Prix Ganay when narrowly beaten. He may be hard to beat this time.
3:30 Fontwell – Keltus (2/1)
Paul Nicholls and Sean Bowen team up with Keltus who drops in grade after a decent attempt at Ayr last time out. His trainer insisted he needed the run and he should do better on his second run of the year.
5:00 Curragh – Iron Mountain (5/4)
A well bred filly for Ballydoyle who has only raced once in her career. She finished fourth on debut at Dundalk and should improve significantly for that effort. Ryan Moore rides, and there should be plenty more to come from her in the future.
