2:30 Wolverhampton – Maggi May (9/2)
In an open contest David Brown’s charge can finally land the spoils after three good efforts. The three-year-old was just beaten last time out, and deserves her chance in this once again.
4:40 Carlisle – Melting Dew (2/1)
A beautifully bred Juddmonte colt for Sir Michael Stoute who seems to be gradually improving from each run. The three-year-old won his last two starts, and would be fancied for the third.
7:40 Goodwood – Parliamentarian (11/4)
After getting beaten over a longer trip, this nice four-year-old drops back in distance and should hold a good chance once again. His Haydock fifth was his first run of the season, and he may improve from the effort. Meanwhile this doesn’t look as strong a race.
7:50 Stratford – Wonderful Charm NAP (6/4)
A great type for Paul Nicholls who was only just beaten in the Cheltenham Festival a few months ago. He lost out by a nose in the Foxhunters, before a decent run in the Grand National. He drops down substantially in grade here, and is a star Foxhunter who should be too good for this field.
